If you have come across this site and are reading this article then it must mean that you have been having trouble finding the right size of condom for your penis.

Now, I’m not going to go into great lengths explaining what a condom is nor what its purpose is. However, it is important to practice safe sex and use a condom. In addition, to reduce the risk of breakage after ejaculation, a small amount of the condom should left at the tip of the penis for the semen to be captured.

Why Condom Size is Important

It is imperative that you get the right condom size for your penis to ensure that the condom provides efficient means of contraception. If the condom is too large for the penis, it will slip off and cause the semen to enter the vagina. But, on the other hand, if the condom is too small, it could break and provide discomfort during intercourse. Then, if the condom is too long for the penis shaft, it could be removed during sexual intercourse.

Condom Differences

Apart from different types of condoms from flavored to rigid, there are several different sizes of condoms ranging in length and width. The sizes will differ from brand to brand. It is important to know the size of your penis so that you are able to purchase the right size condom. When erect, the most common size of a penis is about 6 inches while the average girth is 4.5 to 5 inches. This is just an average.

Measuring Your Penis

To find out your own length and girth size, you should measure your penis when erect. You can do it yourself or grab your partner in to help you. You’ll need to make sure you are working with an erect penis or you will not get an accurate measurement. Measure your erect penis from the very tip of the head to where the penis meets the body. This will be the length of your penis. To measure the girth, which is also the circumference of your penis, you will measure around the widest point of your erect penis. You can use a piece of string and then lay it down on a ruler or tape measure afterwards or you can go ahead and use a tape measure to start with.

A Popular, Safe Condom

One of the more popular condom sizes that reduces the risk of the condom slipping off the penis during sexual intercourse is the condom in which the head is wider than the shaft of the condom, which is generally of standard size. This is perfect since the head of the condom is normally the area that is the tight set.

Know that it is okay if you need to go through a couple different sizes before you find the right size for your penis. Just be sure that the condom fits appropriately, snug but not too tight and don’t forget to leave that small tip at the end of capture the semen after ejaculation.
